Explosion proof motors are subject to explosion-proof inspection by explosion-proof inspection units during trial production and finalization. Drawing documents undergo explosion-proof review, prototypes undergo explosion-proof testing, and only after obtaining explosion-proof qualification certificates and production licenses can they be put into production and sold. Explosion proof motors produced by explosion-proof motor manufacturers are only allowed to leave the factory after passing the prescribed factory inspection and type test. Therefore, generally speaking, the explosion-proof safety performance of explosion-proof motors meets the standard requirements. However, explosion-proof motors may suffer varying degrees of damage during use due to mechanical, chemical, and other factors.
If the explosion-proof shell is subjected to impact during operation, it may crack or deform, bearings may wear or be damaged due to poor lubrication, stator windings may age due to prolonged heating and chemical media, or be broken down by high voltage impact, and the motor may overheat or even burn out due to long-term overload. The explosion-proof joint surface of the explosion-proof shell may rust and be damaged by the moisture in the coal mine. So the faulty motor should be repaired or repaired. Due to the many special features of the explosion-proof structure of explosion-proof motors compared to ordinary motors, if the explosion-proof structure is damaged during repair and maintenance, the explosion-proof motor will lose its explosion-proof performance, causing hidden dangers in coal mines.
In order to maintain the continuous and safe operation of explosion-proof motors in coal mines, it is necessary to strengthen daily maintenance work, establish necessary maintenance systems including daily operation and maintenance inspections, professional maintenance inspections, safety technical inspections, etc., train maintenance personnel in explosion-proof electrical technology and explosion-proof motor structure to improve their technical skills, and strengthen education on safety regulations. Only in this way can explosion-proof motors operate safely and reliably in coal mines.
